As a notary public we are authorized by the County of Los Angeles to issue a Confidential Marriage License. The purpose of authorizing Notaries to issue a Confidential Marriage License is to provide extended services couples wishing to get married in California.

CALIFORNIA MARRIAGE LICENSES

 

PUBLIC Marriage License

• License is public record, and anyone requesting a copy or information on the record will be given it.

• Needs signature of at least one witness over 18 years old.

• Obtain in any county in California and have wedding ceremony in any county in California.

CONFIDENTIAL Marriage License​

​

• License is a confidential record, and the only people able to obtain information of this record are the couple, except under certain circumstances.

• No witness necessary.

• Obtain in any county in California and have wedding ceremony in any county in California; however, the license will be filed in the county where the Confidential

• License was purchased.

• Couple must assert that they are living together.

 

California is one of the few confidential marriage license states. There are certain rules and procedures that accompany this kind of marriage certificate, listed below, but there are very unique benefits such as:

 

NO WAITING IN LINE: 

The Los Angeles County Clerk's office requires both parties to appear together to get a marriage license. Our service makes getting a wedding license in California easy. Let us deal with the traffic, and bureaucracy.

In the State of California the Blood Test is no longer required.

JUST A FEW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CALIFORNIA CONFIDENTIAL MARRIAGE LICENSE:

 

WHO QUALIFIES: 

A couple must state to the notary that they have been living
together. There is no time requirement as to how long the couple has lived together.

 

IDENTIFICATION NEEDED:

Los Angeles County requires that for all marriage licenses you present to us one piece of current government-issued photo I.D. such as a State issued Driver's License, State Identification card, Military Service or Military Dependent Identification card, naturalization Certificate, Passport, Alien Registration card (Form 1551), Identification card issued by the U.S Government or Identification card issued by another Country.

If you are divorced within the last two years, we need a copy of your divorce decree.
